Is it free? Do I need an account?
Every checker is free and you never need to sign up. We never ask for card numbers, bank logins, passwords or ID documents. The site is funded by advertising.
Can a fake medicine have a real NDC or barcode?
Yes. Counterfeiters copy real packaging, including the code. A code that is missing from the FDA directory is a strong warning, but a code that matches only proves the product exists, not that your pack is genuine. Compare the pills and packaging with the official description we show, and buy only from licensed pharmacies.
Can a website with a padlock still be a scam?
Yes. The padlock (SSL) only means your connection is encrypted. Most phishing sites have one, which is why we look at the domain's age, ownership, brand copying, blocklists, payment methods and reports from other people as well.
Where does the recall information come from?
From the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (food, medicines and medical devices) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (household products). We download the new recalls every day and explain them in plain English.
